LaTeX Rant for Replacement

Joshua Tauberer wrote, I though, a rather well defended rant about the outdated nature of LaTeX. It is easy to get stuck in the old ways of doing things but with new technologies developing all the time (and so rapidly), it is advantagious to try new things. This is sort of a side effect we must take on by using such a rapidly growing and evolving OS. I’m not saying that software should be thrown out just because a replacement has been developed, but what I am suggesting is that these new softwares are at least given a chance. Large and revolutionary changes come about a lot quicker and more often than we feel they should with OSS but that is no reason to disregard the new completely. Usually a hybrid blend of the new and old is best suited for a change to a more optimized environment.
