Our first night in Argentina was a bit of a downer. Our hotel room was a bit less than par with holes in the walls, a door that did not latch close, and the shower and toilet stalls were one in the same. If you wanted, you could have taken a dump while showering. When we arived back from Iguazu, we had our rooms upgraded to the presidential suites which were very nice.
Yesterday we went shopping at these outdoor markets. It was raining hard and most of the stuff that was being sold looked like trash out of the dumpsters. To get out of the rain we found parts of the market that were indoor. The indoor sections were more for locals to shop at with designer clothing and foods. They were located inside old parking garages and a big food market of some sort. The place was amazing for photography.
Today on the way to the internet cafe where I am making this post from, I became suspecious of a man following close behind me. I stopped to let him pass but he did not so I was watching his reflection in the passing windows. When I stopped to cross the street, I felt my bookbag zipper being unzipped. I turned around and caught him red handed trying to pick pocket me. I scared the crap out of him as well. Luckly there was nothing in there to be stolen and I am extremely paranoid about pick pockets already.
Tomorrow we will be taking a speed boat to Uruguay for the day and our flight back to the States is at 9pm. I can´t wait to return and get back to work.
