A post!

I haven’t posted in a long while but I’ve got a good reason. I’ve been writing my own blog software and theme because I’m getting sick of WordPress. Eventually I want to write some AJAX to go along with all the web2.0-ness of my site but right now I just don’t have the time. I’m working on a compiler project.

Also, in the upgrade to Ubuntu-Edgy, Firefox was upgraded to FF2.0 which is beta right now. It’s complete crap despite the fact it’s still beta. They’ve tried to make it look all slick but I think it looks bad. Also, it’s super slow and pulls a Windows “not responding” if I try to browse to too many pages. It eats up all my RAM. Instead of Firefox, I’ve started using Epiphany again (my first browers on Linux). It’s like a breath of fresh air. So slick, simple, and fast. Also, there’s been some hightened distain for Firefox from the Linux community for a few reasons. I’m sure most people have heard about the Ubuntu/Debian naming problem (Google “ice weazle” for more info) but there’s other issues as well.

So… thats enough FF for me for a while.
